     The 2012 Al Hopkins-Tolbert Texas State Chili Championship is in the books now.  What a great weekend!  Perfect weather, wonderful music, good times with friends and family, and certainly plenty of good food.  We want to thank all the participants for helping us have such an outstanding State Championship.

     Thank you to the Lone Star BBQ Society for partnering up with us to sanction the barbeque events!    We saw a lot of new faces, met some new friends, and we hope to see them at more of our events down the road. 

     Congratulations to Carole Ritter of Lometa, Texas on being the BBQ Grand Champion, and Reserve Champion went to husband Doug Ritter.   Must be some mighty good eats are their place!
