Fred Lazarus from San Angelo won 1st Place Chili at the Brazilian Open. Bill Center from San Antonio won 2nd, and Mike Cody of Mabank came in 3rd. All of these gentlemen are now qualified to cook Behind the Store next November in Terlingua.
Mick Joplin easily won the Brazilian Showmanship with Chilisaurus. He is now qualified too.
Proceeds from Men's State and the Brazilian Open came to $2800 and goes to the Terlingua Operations Fund. This money is used for supplies, materials and "portable facilities," or Honey Pots, if you will Behind the Store. There's a cause we can all appreciate!
